Visa & Passport
Saudi Visa Help
Help with Saudi visas for Umrah, visiting and holidays. Bring your passport and travel plans and our team will choose the right option and complete the application with you.
Everyone visiting Saudi Arabia needs a visa or travel authorisation, and British citizens now have three online options. We help you choose the right one for your trip, complete the application with you, and arrange flights and hotels around it.
The Options for British Passport Holders
Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
For tourism, family visits, business, study, medical treatment and Umrah outside the Hajj season. Valid for 730 days, multiple entries, up to 180 days in total. Health insurance is not included.
Tourist E-Visa
For tourists. Valid for 365 days, multiple entries, up to 90 days in total. Includes health insurance up to SAR 100,000. Also available on arrival at Saudi airports.
Electronic Visa Waiver
A single entry of up to 180 days, for the same purposes as the ETA. Applied for between 90 days and 48 hours before your flight, with your flight details.
Hajj needs its own Hajj visa, issued only through an approved Hajj package. During the Hajj season, travellers without a Hajj visa may be stopped from flying to Jeddah, Madinah and Taif. See our Hajj packages.
How It Works
- Tell us your plans: who is travelling, your dates and the reason for the trip.
- Bring your passport and the details on the list below. If you hold another nationality, tell us, because the options depend on your passport and UK residence.
- We complete the application with you and explain the next steps, including insurance and vaccinations.
SAUDI VISA
What to Have Ready
- Your passport, with an expiry date at least six months after the date you arrive in Saudi Arabia.
- A recent passport photograph.
- Your travel dates, your flight details (needed for a visa waiver), and where you will stay.
- For Umrah: a certificate of the meningococcal (ACWY) vaccine, which pilgrims must have.
- If you are not a British citizen: your UK residence permit or UK visa. Eligibility depends on your nationality, so we check it before applying.
Checklist last reviewed . Requirements can change and some cases need extra documents, so our team confirms the list for your case.
Good to Know
- Visas issued before the ETA was introduced stay valid on their original terms.
- A passport showing travel to, or birth in, Israel may be refused entry.
- Overstaying a visa can lead to fines, detention and a ban on returning.
- The ETA and visa waiver do not include health insurance, so travel insurance is strongly recommended.
- Decisions are made by the Saudi authorities, not by STS Oldham. Please avoid non-refundable bookings until your visa is issued.
Pair it with an Umrah package or flights, and we will arrange everything together.
